Who We Are
 Heart’s Desire Therapeutic Riding Center was established in 2001 as a faith based ministry committed to improving the quality of life for those with special life challenges through equine assisted learning activities that strengthen and develop character through the love of Christ. Heart’s Desire is a NARHA (North American Riding for the Handicap Association) Premier Accredited Center which validates its commitment to excellence and safety.
Over the past eight years Heart’s Desire has seen continued growth and expansion of ministry opportunities. There are currently three NARHA Certified Instructors, a Director of Administration, an Equine manager, twenty horses and over fifty volunteers. Heart’s Desire served 155 children and teens in 2008 through its four programs and currently ministers to families in over four counties.
With our new location, we are expanding our program services to include summer camps, family recreation, and a health initiative that incorporates a challenge course and walking trail. Our staff, our volunteers and our horses love and accept unconditionally and model standards of excellence through out our programs. We want families and children to experience peace and love when they drive through our gates. We are committed to reaching out with the arms of Christ and providing a place of refuge in our community.
