HDR Charity Golf Scramble

The Heart's Desire Ranch (HDR) Charity Golf Scramble event will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at Tunica National Golf Course. This event will raise money for the expansion at HDR. In addition to the Golf Scramble, we will have contests, a Golf Ball Drop, Awards Dinner and a Silent Auction. Golf teams and individual golfers may register online or mail by printing the registration form at the bottom of the registration page and mailing payment to the address on the form. Click here for more information about the scramble and events of the day. We will have lots of fun for everyone!
For this event to be successful, we need sponsorships from businesses and individuals. Please consider visiting our Donation Request page or Hole Sponsorship page to make a donation. For additional information or questions, please contact the HDR Golf Event Coordinator at hdrgolf@aol.com. With community involvement, this event will raise needed funds for Heart's Desire Ranch. Remember, all donations are tax-deductible and receipts will be given upon request the day of the event.

We recently partnered with Impact Missions and House of Hope. Our mission is to not only continue to serve our community through therapeutic riding, but to offer Biblical counseling and in the near future have a residential treatment facility for troubled teens. Our goal is to reach out to the community, renew the culture, and restore the family. To aid in the funding of this expansion, we are holding a Charity Golf Scramble to be held on Sat., 10/2/10 at Tunica Nat'l Golf Course. More coming!

I-CAN Horse Show

The students participating in the I-CAN Program from Strayhorn School put on a wonderful horse show for family and friends Friday night. Volunteers and staff worked hard to provide a safe and fun show for each student. 22 riders gave their all for Judges Susan Dent and Tommy Bailey. Overcoming Life's Obstacles was the theme supported by Phillipians 4:8 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Students received a trophy, a participation certificate and t-shirt. Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association

Heart's Desire had 10 riders participate in the CMSA National Championship Event in Tunica on April 15. Each year students ride with cowboy or cowgirl partners for the best time. The event showcases therapeutic riding events across the country and is sponsored by Wahl clippers and Montana Silversmiths. 2 riders returned Saturday night for the championship ride and received belt buckles from Montana Silversmiths. All riders received award bags full of goodies for themselves and their horses.

Construction Needs

We still need funds for our construction projects. We recently finished the 2-story office building and held a ribbon cutting ceremony. Now we need $8000 for 2 class room buildings to purchase building materials. Concrete is poured and they are waiting!! If God lays it upon your heart to assist, please contact us.
