Our 1st Annual event celebrating worship and family with churches and organizations in a four county area proved successful in spite of flashflood warnings. Rain fell all around Tate County, but Gabbert Park remained sunny and dry with only a couple of light showers. The Heart's Desire testimonies were heartwarming. 5 bands from Tate, DeSoto and Panola counties presented music glorifying our Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you for a successful first event to all our sponsors and participants!

I-CAN Horse Show

The students participating in the I-CAN Program from Strayhorn School put on a wonderful horse show for family and friends Friday night. Volunteers and staff worked hard to provide a safe and fun show for each student. 22 riders gave their all for Judges Susan Dent and Tommy Bailey. Overcoming Life's Obstacles was the theme supported by Phillipians 4:8 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Students received a trophy, a participation certificate and t-shirt. Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association

Heart's Desire had 10 riders participate in the CMSA National Championship Event in Tunica on April 15. Each year students ride with cowboy or cowgirl partners for the best time. The event showcases therapeutic riding events across the country and is sponsored by Wahl clippers and Montana Silversmiths. 2 riders returned Saturday night for the championship ride and received belt buckles from Montana Silversmiths. All riders received award bags full of goodies for themselves and their horses.

Construction Needs

We still need funds for our construction project. Currently we have funds to finish the 2-story office building but we need $8000 for 2 class room buildings to purchase building materials. Concrete is poured and they are waiting!! We also need $3000 each for a well and a septic system. If God lays it upon your heart to assist, please contact us. "And everyone whose heart stirred him and everyone whose spirit moved him came and brought the LORD's contribution for the work..." Exodus 35:21
